The mission of the Operational Excellence Manager is to lead the efforts to increase safety, quality, and operational efficiency for the South Carolina plant. The Operational Excellence Manager will partner with the plant manager to meet or exceed the company's operational plans for 2019 and beyond.
The outcomes are the specific and measurable objectives that have a significant impact on the team and business, and include the timeframe over which they should be achieved.
Utilize Lean tools and practices in partnership with Engineering to increase productivity, decrease waste, and decrease downtime by 50% by the end of 2019
Be a Safety Champion for the plant to promote and achieve a Zero incident safety culture. Target IRR <1 (Incident Rate) with a goal of 0 recordable incidents on a rolling 12 month basis
Partner with the Quality team to identify defects and improve quality by 50% by end of 2019
Develop standard operating procedures enforced through standard work, visual controls, and accountability
Manage complex projects with aggressive deadlines utilizing cross-functional teams. Include robust, sustainable training practices when needed

You must be able to demonstrate skill or experience in the following items in order to be considered for the position.
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience
Lean or continuous improvement experience
Experience in a large (>100 employees) fast-paced manufacturing environment
Minimum 3 years of management experience
